Numerology can be defined as a connection between two numbers or the symmetry in the greater whole is seen to divine a cause (White,2013). It is stated that humans did not begin to count in 10’s but in 12’s and 60’s since both are factors of 360.

360: the closest whole number of days in the year which divides measures of time into 12 months and 30 days

: the degrees in a circle

: 60 minutes in an hour

Are the numbers we are measured by an arbitrary choice?

Given the passing of time and information dissemination, human civilization and cultural assimilation, forms of measurement have become accepted worldwide although this choice was once arbitrary to a single sect of the human population. There exists no written rule that a day may have 24hours or a week to have 7 days, rather it is a measure that was put in place centuries ago that simply became a norm to guide the human race and its activities. These standards are conclusively man-made.

The study of numerology and the conclusion that the application of numbers is man-made holds that there is no underlying significance to one number over the other. It is our association of numbers to our immediate environment that gives it significance. Whether you choose to count backwards from 15 or start at 1 to 15, the scale simply faces an increase determined by the end-goal of that countdown. How you choose to maximise, limit and apply numbers is all functional to the desired outcome.

DO NUMBERS MATTER?

Simply answered, yes. Numbers are just as important as alphabets only more complex. Whereas the alphabet is easily taught and understood for its direct application and recognition as a natural language, numbers often require encoding skills accompanied by proper knowledge of what the encryption of the language is (if any). The desired outcome remains to transmit information confidentially, all while keeping personal data hidden.

Examples of encoding that exist include: Mnemonics, the American Standard Code for Information Interchange (ASCII), Resistor color codes, the Dewey Decimal System, Internet addresses, bar-code price stickers and binary encoding.

Numbers as a decisive factor

Having set the pace for understanding the basic structure of why numbers matter and how we are confined to its application, it is important to conclude that numbers greatly influence our decision making whether at a direct level, choosing to measure our activities within the confines of time or indirectly, where algorithms run the day in our interaction with computer systems.

Here at AJ Acq. We understand that numbers do matter. It is our aim that we garner more insight and information as to how numerology is applied in the modern world and apply sound principles that emanate from these mathematically placed economic systems to produce the best outcome for individuals and businesses. We believe that indeterminate lengths exist to fuel infinite possibilities.
